Gothica Kisara was a Totoco Kisara doll with waist length black hair. Kisara is one of my least favorite Jenny friend dolls. When I had gotten this one, I literally was throwing her around because I severely disliked her. She came with dark, navy blue eyes and soft pink lips. I didn't think it really matched her black hair at all. So I decided to repaint her. I am usually scared to touch the paint on a Takara doll because they're so expensive and I've never really customized dolls before. But I didn't care much about this doll when I got her so I thought, "what's there to lose?" Because of her black hair and pale skin, I decided to go gothic. I put her on a SAJ body, cut her hair then I repainted her eyes and lips. Her eyes are light blue and I painted her lips fuller in a glossy mauve color. I also removed the heavy corners of her eyebrows giving her a more sexy glance. I also gave her multiple ear pearcings. The outfit was my second attempt at sewing. It took me a good deal of two days, but I did it and I was very pleased with the outcome. I had gotten the patterns from several Jenny books (thank you Sher!) and had adapted it to how I wanted it. The outfit was not quite what I had planned and sketched, but I think I was more pleased with the outcome than what I had planned. The top is a jacket/blouse that buttons at the bust and flares out from the waist. The lace is attached to her jacket. The bottom is a simple mini skirt. Accessories for this doll include silver chain earrings, a black choker, black belt with silver buckle and chain, black stockings and knee high boots. She also has a pet raven. This doll was very enjoyable to make. I turned a doll that I didn't like into one of my favorite dolls. I am very satisfied with the outcome. |
